Manchester Masons-The Fight Against COVID-19. How You Can Help.
Manchester Masons have recently made two donations on behalf of its members to two extremely worthy causes in the fight against COVID-19.
Five hundred pounds has been donated to the ELMC COVID-19 Initiative fund and a further five hundred pounds has been donated to David Tisley-Curtis, East Lancashire Freemason and Director of AV Birch Ltd. David has turned his company over to the manufacture of PPE visors for NHS staff, care and key workers.

Recently, there have been several initiatives introduced by the Province, the East Lancashire Masonic Charity (ELMC) and the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF). Please find below a simplified summary of these initiatives outlining the relevant details.
- One million pounds has been made available by the MCF to support strategically important initiatives and high impact, grassroots Masonic projects which are assisting the Community as a result of COVID-19. To implement this fund, the nation has been divided into Regions, with one hundred thousand pounds allocated to each region. Our Provincial Grand Master, Sir David Trippier, is heading up the Northern region.
If any Brother, Lodge or Chapter would like to recommend any local charities, hospices and projects which are making a real difference to people’s lives and would benefit from financial assistance, please contact our Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Steve Clark for an application form at firstname.lastname@example.org . Your application will then be considered by our Regional Group Leader and the Standing Committee of the Boards of UGLE and MCF.
- Also, the ELMC now has a designated support fund to help alleviate the adverse effects of COVID-19.
