Manchester Masons Have A Great Time At Their Annual Entertainment Evening.
On Thursday 14th November, Manchester Masons were proud to hold yet another successful Entertainment Evening.
Over 150 Manchester Masons and their guests attended the event which was held on the magnificent fifth floor at Manchester Hall.
Themed around the fabulous ’50s and swinging 60’s, the evening began with a cocktail reception (accompanied by pre-dinner canapés) before moving on to a splendid three-course meal comprising of contemporary cuisine.
After dinner, we left the ’60s and those in attendance were treated to the fabulous “Decades Duo” who provided a roaring tribute to the hits of the ’70s, Motown and beyond. By last orders, the dancing shoes were well and truly tapping! Unfortunately, while it was time for Elvis to leave the building, he left safe in the knowledge that a good time had been had by all.
Whilst those Manchester Masons and their guests who were in attendance had a thoroughly enjoyable night, our Entertainment Evening also served a dual and more important purpose – raising funds to support the Broken Column Annual Dinner which, as many of you will know, provides an opportunity for Manchester’s Lodges & Chapters to host their Masonic Widows at a gala event. Manchester Masons would like to thank the generosity of all those who attended the Entertainment Evening. From their kind contributions, nearly £4000 was raised.
Manchester Masons would also like to thank the Manchester Hall team for their excellent service and hospitality, the Decades Duo for their wonderful entertainment and last but by no means least all the brethren who assisted in the organisation of the evening, specifically for their dedication and hard-work without which these events would not happen.
Manchester Masons finally thank all those who attended and hope to see you at future engagements – details of the Broken Column Annual Dinner will follow in due course.
