Manchester Level Club – Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
On the 8th of August some of our MLC members, their family and friends will be dusting off their passports and taking part in a fully supervised socially distanced Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
They will hope to take on the 24.5 mile trek in under 12 hours!
This event is being done for great causes in Manchester, you will see details below and we are hoping that each climber can raise some sponsorship, we are already off to a great start, If you want to donate you can find our just giving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/team/TeamMLC
This challenge is open for anybody who wants to join us, If you want to get involved then message us on the Manchester Masons Facebook page.
The three peaks that will be climbed are:
We will be fundraising for charities within Manchester that have suffered a lack of their own fundraising due to the COVID-19 pandemic, details of the charities we are supporting can be found here: http://www.manchestermasons.com/manchester-level-club-fundraising-2020/
Since the unveiling of this idea and the general call for participants to help raise funds the MLC have been overwhelmed by the amount of people who will be joining in, but there is always room for more.
The MLC will even be joined by the APGM of Manchester Mark Davis, and both district chairmen Paul O’Carroll (Derby) and Chris Wildman (Sykes) there have been calls for other district APGM’s to take up the challenge will they be up for it? Watch this space.
The event itself will be fully supervised and we have secured the services of professional guides who will be looking after us on the day, for any of you that are interested we have negotiated a charity rate for their services which is £40 per climber here is a link to their site : https://www.optimaladventures.co.uk/events/yorkshire-3-peaks-5/
From all of us at Manchester Masons we wish you luck!
